When two Slovak Jews finally manage to escape the Auschwitz concentration camp, they find themselves up against allies that don't believe the truth.

"Stories about World War II have already found some exhaustion in cinemas, often repeating style and format. 'The Auschwitz Report' follows the same path in telling the story of two brave Jewish men, both from Slovakia, who escape Auschwitz to tell the world the horrors that were happening within those walls -- quickly discredited, of course, even by the Red Cross. The strength and difference of this feature film, then, lies in its twenty final minutes, when director Peter Bebjak makes parallels between this insistence on ignoring the past and repeating mistakes. To do this, he includes speeches from fascist and extremist political leaders, such as Brazilian Jair Bolsonaro. Thus, we end the screening of 'The Auschwitz Report' with a bitter taste in our mouths. Although the film is formulaic and generic for most of it, it still does the essential by bringing a reflection (and some concerns) at the end."
