When cop David is injured in a drug bust gone wrong, his partner, Cal, pursues the two criminals who shot him to a remote farm owned by troubled vet Eric. As Cal and Eric plot their defense, more of the gang arrives — along with a wounded David — and, outnumbered, the three heroes must use stealth, smarts, and marksmanship to take down the drug-dealing mob.
"The years 2020 and 2021 have been challenging for Bruce Willis' career, the star who ended up getting into some holes with 'Switchgrass at Midnight', 'Space Threat' and 'Survive the Night'. However, despite these slips from the 'Die Hard' star, the action thriller 'Survive the Game' does not reach the absurdity that we saw in Willis' story of fleeing aliens, for example. Here, filmmaker James Cullen Bressack (from the interesting 'Alone') tells the story of two policemen who join a troubled war veteran when a gang of traffickers invades a man's farm and uses it as a hideout. Tense in the right measure, although with some script and direction slips, 'Survive the Game' is a sure fun for those looking for Willis' roots, with tense action plots that leave aside senseless nonsense. It is a movie to have fun and pass the time, without many other attractions."
