Star Trek: Brent Spiner picks this MCU actor to suit up as Data (and it's not who fans think)

“I still say [Spoiler]." Die-hard Star Trek fans are well aware of the fact that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s God of Mischief, Loki, aka actor Tom Hiddleston, is often cited as a favorite to play Lt. Commander Data in future Treks. However, the gentleman who has played Data for nearly 40 years has his own ideas about the right actor to replace him in the role — and it’s not Hiddleston but another MCU performer altogether. Spiner said in an interview (per Popverse), “I don’t see it [Hiddleston portraying Data]. I mean, I love it, but I still say Tilda Swinton. In other words, Spiner is interested in gender-bending the role of Data so that his choice,

Lula’s Election Win: How Fan Accounts for Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and More Helped Him to a Historic Victory and Defeat for Trump

Don’t expect Brazilian filmmakers to return emails on Monday. Many will be sleeping off joyously celebrating. In a historic turnaround election victory, leftist incumbent Lula staged a dramatic run-off comeback victory Sunday, beating far-right Flávio Bolsonaro to secure a fourth term as Brazil’s President. This is the first time in the history of Brazil’s democratic elections that a candidate who has come second in the first-round elections has won the second round. The win is a defeat for U.S. President Donald Trump, a Bolsonaro ally, and a victory for Brazil’s film industry, which had feared a decimation of governmental movie funding in line with Javier Milei’s huge cuts in Argentina if Bolsonaro were to win. Lula’s turnaround victory marks a huge win for Brazil’s environment, social politics and health services and stops Latin America’s slide to the right as Europe faces

Scarlett Johansson (41) Reveals How Wes Anderson Reacted to Her ‘Asteroid City’ Nude Scene

Wes Anderson films are known for their symmetrical frames, pastel palettes and deadpan humor, not for awkward on-set moments. But a behind-the-scenes story about the director and one of his biggest stars is making the rounds again, and it’s both funny and surprisingly human. It also says a lot about how Anderson works with his actors. ‘Asteroid City’ is set in a 1950s American desert town where young stargazers and their parents gather for a convention. Their stay is interrupted by an unexpected encounter with an alien, after which authorities put the town under quarantine. The story is told through an unusual structure that follows the making of a

5 Near-Perfect Psychological Thriller Movies Streaming for Free

Psychological thrillers trigger a fight-or-flight response within a controlled environment and entertain us at the same time. Interpersonal relationships become the source of anxiety, as there’s more at stake than someone’s physical safety — their very sanity is on the line. The novelty of great psychological thrillers like Rear Window (1954), Memento (2000), or Mulholland Drive (2001) does not wear off after a first watch. There’s more to glean than suspense or twist, as catharsis is an integral part of the experience. Unfortunately, all those movies are locked up behind various streaming service subscriptions (if they're available to stream at all).
