This Chilean stop motion animation won the best short film award at the Venice Festival 2021. The story revolves around a girl - who looks like she came out of a Tim Burton movie - who performs a ritual to free Chile's kingdom from its feudal heritage. With a macabre atmosphere, the plot has great references to Mary Shelley's classic book 'Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus', with a very strong political context. 'Los Huesos' conveys a powerful message about a country's past that has suffered much oppression and still weaves an analysis of Chile's current situation.

Having lost her faith, she tries to regain it by attending a convent with her husband (Jaime Lorente, Elite), where they end up adopting two charming twins. However, the ultra-religious upbringing of the children turns into dangerous games that lead the couple into a destructive spiral. Tin & Tina is a film that, oscillating between horror and satire, highlights the contradictions of ideas such as sin and goodness, in the simplistic and fanatical interpretations of religion.
Maniac
"Maniac" is a horror film directed by Franck Khalfoun, starring Elijah Wood as a mannequin shop owner with deadly, suppressed desires. The movie is smartly crafted, with a psychological twist that sets it apart from your average slasher flick. However, the excessive gore can sometimes undermine the film's intelligence. The story follows Frank, who helps a young artist with her upcoming exhibition, but as he does so, his dark desires come to the surface.
