2020 was marked by tragic events. In addition to the coronavirus pandemic, there was also police brutality -- and that is the focus of 'Sem Descanso'. Although the film is from 2019, it resonates with the current world and Brazilian scenario. The production tells a real story, exposing police violence, and addressing how this issue demands an urgent discussion in Brazilian society. Bernard Attal's feature film was awarded and won the following awards: Best Documentary at the Black Montreal International Film Festival; at Fenavid Santa Cruz, Bolivia; Best Feature at Araial Cinefest; Excellence Mention at Impact Doc Awards; and the Vertentes de Cinema Award for Best Documentary at the Rio Festival 2019. 'Sem Descanso' is a hard, dry and extremely necessary film.
