Why watch this film?
In the media cacophony, the figure of "organized crime" (in abstract) is the main public enemy of Mexican social order. And it is not to deny that it is, but the fact is that we are facing a much more complex problem than they usually paint it in the media. And while there are proposals that fall into caricature ('Hell'), sensationalism ('Heli'), and even idealization ('Narcos'), directors Eduardo Giralt and Emmanuel Massu approach (with cell phones by cameras) the young Mexicans who work for organized crime and who, in the face of poverty and marginalization, see in it the only possible solution. 'The plebes' proposes, at least, the humanization of an issue that has been for a long time dehumanized; and without being moralistic it reminds us that drug trafficking and crime, more than figures, are problems of social and human background.

After the consequences of confinement and medical negligence, Rita returned to Mexico, where she lives with Juanita, her niece, and primary caregiver, in a context of precarious economic possibilities.
