Why watch this film?
There is a city, in the interior of Alagoas, whose inhabitants have two polarized options for their future: either be a fisherman or a musician. There is no other way out. It is Marechal Deodoro, a historical city that was the birthplace of the first president of Brazil and which, with its strong military spirit, ended up cultivating the tradition of philharmonic bands. Today, in this way, the region seems to go against the grain of Brazil. While the highest power of the State destroys culture, the small Alagoan town encourages it. Being a musician is a source of pride in the region. Thus, 'Faz Sol Lá Sim' respectfully delves into this history, albeit in a somewhat square way for a documentary, telling the paths and ideas that populate Marechal Deodoro. The movie itself does not excite so much, but the stories that appear on the screen move and even chill. To watch, feel, hum and be moved.
