Why watch this film?
'The White Tiger' draws a parallel between 'Parasite' (Bong Joon-ho, 2019) and 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' (Danny Boyle, 2007). Ramin Bahrani, who also acted in the direction of 'Fahrenheit 451', did a captivating job in criticizing the political and social scope of India, where society has a clear division between rich and poor. And because of the castes, there is no way for the miseries to ascend as in other economic systems, although the division of classes in India is based on religious precepts. The main nucleus formed by Adarsh Gourav, Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao make the movie even more interesting, especially for the funny scenes of Gourav.
The epic journey of a poor Indian driver who must use his wit and cunning to break free from servitude to his rich masters and rise to the top of the heap.
