Why watch this film?
Alongside Silvio Santos, Faustão and Flávio Cavalcanti, Chacrinha is one of the greatest communicators of Brazilian television. Bringing an irreverent style from the radio, the presenter made history by talking to more popular layers that were usually forgotten in the programming schedule. And it is about this rich history, full of highs and lows, that the documentary 'Chacrinha: I Came to Confuse and Not to Explain' focuses on. Directed by the duo Cláudio Manoel and Micael Langer (the same of 'Simonal'), the film seeks to assemble the puzzle that was Abelardo Barbosa's life. Although it strolls very quickly through the communicator's childhood, the film takes care to bring details about Chacrinha's formation. All this through good interviews, never excessive, and some precious things that Manoel and Langer pick up from archives and memory.
