This German production exclusive to Netflix follows the journey of a classical dancer who falls in love with street dance. It's the classic battle between the popular and the erudite, passion versus duty. The dance scenes are at least exciting and the lead actress, Alexandra Pfeifer, brings an interesting strength to the narrative, transitioning between ecstasy and worry. There's nothing new in 'Into the Beat - Dein Herz tanzt' and, ultimately, that may be exactly what you want.
