Former leaders of a controversial movement face the aftermath of their actions.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

'Pray Away' is a shocking documentary dealing with a controversial topic involving the "recovery" of homosexuals. The feature follows former leaders of 'Exodus International' and survivors of so-called "conversion therapy" who speak about the damage the movement has done to the LGBTQ+ community and its devastating consequences. In 2012, then-Exodus president Alan Chambers resigned and declared he no longer believed in "conversion therapy" and that it was doing harm to its patients. The documentary goes further into this and is produced by two big names in the industry: Jason Blum, creator of Blumhouse Productions, which is best known for its horror productions, and Ryan Murphy, known for the series 'American Horror Story'. The subject matter is very serious and continues to be a topic for debate, even generating fiction films on the subject such as 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post' or 'Boy Erased: A Nullified Truth'.
