"Le sommet des dieux" é uma animação de aventura madura e centrada, baseada no mangá do renomado artista Jiro Taniguchi - e inédito no Brasil. O filme segue a história de um jovem fotojornalista japonês que encontra uma câmera e resolve embarcar numa jornada que pode mudar a história do montanhismo. Isso o leva ao misterioso Habu, um alpinista que supostamente estava desaparecido há anos. A partir daí, o fotojornalista entra em um mundo de obsessivos montanhistas famintos por conquistas impossíveis, e vai passo a passo, ao caminho que o leva ao cume dos deuses. A produção é francesa e o estilo visual do filme é deslumbrante, apontando claras influências ao mangá e animações japonesas, mas com um traço muito mais característico entre animações europeias (remetendo a 'Perdi Meu Corpo' ou 'A Tartaruga Vermelha'). Dessa forma, o filme mistura animações em 2D e 3D transmitindo imagens incríveis e empolgantes. Não por menos, a obra fez parte da seleção do Festival de Cannes de 2021."Journey to the Top of the Earth" is a mature and focused adventure animation, based on the renowned manga artist Jiro Taniguchi - and unseen in Brazil. The movie follows the story of a young Japanese photojournalist who finds a camera and decides to embark on a journey that could change the history of mountaineering. This leads him to the mysterious Habu, a mountaineer who had supposedly been missing for years. From there, the photojournalist enters a world of obsessive mountaineers hungry for impossible conquests, and goes step by step, on the path that leads him to the summit of the gods. The production is French and the visual style of the film is dazzling, pointing to clear influences from manga and Japanese animations, but with a much more characteristic stroke between European animations (reminiscent of 'I Lost My Body' or 'The Red Turtle'). Thus, the film mixes 2D and 3D animations transmitting incredible and exciting images. No wonder, the work was part of the selection of the Cannes Film Festival 2021.

Plot summary
Were George Mallory and his companion Andrew Irvine the first men to scale Everest on June 8th, 1924? Only the little Kodak camera they took with them might reveal the truth. In Kathmandu 70 years later, a young Japanese reporter named Fukamachi recognizes the camera in the hands of the mysterious Habu Jôji, an outcast climber believed missing for years. Fukamachi enters a world of obsessive mountaineers hungry for impossible conquests on a journey that leads him, step by step, towards the summit of the gods.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a film with a tremendous responsibility: to continue a franchise considered nearly flawless by much of the audience and critics, which managed to steer the Planet of the Apes universe back on track. Here, many years have passed since Caesar's journey ended. The apes now rule everything—they speak and are divided into clans. This is where the journey of this film, directed by Wes Ball (Maze Runner), begins, following the life of Noa (Owen Teague), a young ape who witnesses his clan being killed after a miscalculation, sparking conflict with enemy apes. From there, the plot unfolds a quest for revenge while also delving deeper into this universe, tackling themes such as prejudice and overcoming differences, illuminating a new path for this universe to thrive on the big screen. Also noteworthy is the motion capture work of Kevin Durand (Abigail), who portrays the villain Proximus Caesar.

Biblical epics in the style of Ben-Hur are so recognizable in classic cinema that they have been the subject of witty parodies (most notably, the also classic Monty Python's Life of Brian). Here, director Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) filters the conventions of these films through a black lens, with a cast led by names like Lakeith Stanfield, Alfre Woodard, David Oyelowo, Omar Sy, and Anna Diop, among others. The Book of Clarence follows a man who, aspiring to be someone in life, decides to capitalize on the popularity of Jesus of Nazareth for his own benefit. Through the biblical cliché, the film examines issues such as black identity, the distortion of faith by organized religions, and the very sense of goodness and compassion. It's somewhat uneven but nonetheless entertaining.
