Why watch this film?

Directed by Greg Mottola ('Superbad'), 'Adventureland: A Memorable Summer' is a dramedy about learning to face the real world, as well as finding a new purpose in the midst of adversity. The plot follows a recent college graduate (Jesse Eisenberg) who has big plans for his future, including a trip to Europe and a postgraduate degree in journalism, after graduating from college. However, lack of money forces him to cancel everything and look for a precarious job at the amusement park of the title, which seems like the worst thing in the world until he starts to discover new truths about life. It's a film full of nostalgia and optimism that echoes the youthful hopes that many of us have had, with masterful performances by Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart ('Twilight'), alongside talents like Ryan Reynolds, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig.
