'The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure' is a Chinese production, arriving in Brazil through Netflix, that manages to convey the best of these sea bandits stories: adventure, action and epic battles. A sequel to the movie 'The Pirates', the feature film is a surefire entertainment for fans of this type of story, with stunning scenery in the middle of the ocean, good digital and practical effects and a rather unusual journey. A good way to return to the world of pirates, without falling into the obvious or, mainly, into monotony.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a film with a tremendous responsibility: to continue a franchise considered nearly flawless by much of the audience and critics, which managed to steer the Planet of the Apes universe back on track. Here, director Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) filters the conventions of these films through a black lens, with a cast led by names like Lakeith Stanfield, Alfre Woodard, David Oyelowo, Omar Sy, and Anna Diop, among others. The Book of Clarence follows a man who, aspiring to be someone in life, decides to capitalize on the popularity of Jesus of Nazareth for his own benefit. Through the biblical cliché, the film examines issues such as black identity, the distortion of faith by organized religions, and the very sense of goodness and compassion. It's somewhat uneven but nonetheless entertaining.
