Why watch this film?
After 'The Witch' and 'The Lighthouse', Robert Eggers takes the helm of his third feature film. Moving away from a very different genre from the previous ones, in 'The Northman' we are presented with a mega action production. Based on the historical figure of Amleth, who was the inspiration for Shakespeare to write 'Hamlet', the narrative transports us to the Middle Ages. Just like in the play by the English writer, Eggers' movie is a revenge plot, where Amleth (Alexander Skarsgård) wants to avenge the death of his father, King Aurvandil (Ethan Hawke). It is worth mentioning that all the atmosphere of Vikings is lost throughout the hours, which is a shame. But a good summary of this feature is: men thirsting for blood and women owning themselves - Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicole Kidman are really amazing in their characters. 'The Northman' brings a predictable story, which is saved by the great editing, photography and performances. However, it is Robert Eggers' least authorial work.

The Lighthouse
The Brazilian producer Rodrigo Teixeira joins forces again with director Robert Eggers (who together were responsible for the success of 'The Witch') to dive back into the world of horror - now with beautiful black and white photography. The story takes place in a desolate place, a lighthouse, and bets on a small cast (with Willem Dafoe from 'Eternity's Gate' and Robert Pattinson from 'Good Behavior') to involve us with fears, worries and hallucinations caused by isolation. It is a movie that requires patience and a sharp eye, but if you let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere, you will be rewarded.

The Witch
In 17th century New England, a family settles on a corn farm close to a dense forest. The first indication that something is wrong there is that the couple's baby mysteriously disappears. Other sinister facts will haunt the characters. A mix of suspense and terror that catches the viewer not for easy scares - but for inner fear.
Action

Furies
An exclusive Vietnamese action and revenge thriller on Netflix that thematically will remind you of "Promising Young Woman", but in action and style it is more reminiscent of "John Wick" and "Kill Bill". Although it is not as refined (or interesting) as its references, "Furies" will leave genre fans satisfied. The plot is somewhat scant: three furious and violent female vigilantes join forces to take down a sinister mafia that has made them victims. There is more substance in the action sequences than in its premise, but if you're looking for something visually impactful and entertaining, you'll like it.

Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village
After his family is viciously murdered, a kind-hearted boy named Tanjiro Kamado resolves to become a Demon Slayer in hopes of turning his younger sister Nezuko back into a human. Together with his comrades, Zenitsu and Inosuke, along with one of the top-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen Uzui, Tanjiro embarks on a mission within the Entertainment District, where they encounter the formidable, high-ranking demons, Daki and Gyutaro.
