Why watch this film?
The title of this movie probably sounds familiar to you if you watched the 1988 feature film of the same name starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Michelle Pfeiffer, Uma Thurman and Keanu Reeves; or if you saw 'Cruel Intentions' (1999) with Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair. But now it's a modern French teen drama also based on the 1782 novel of the same name by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Director Rachel Suissa delivers to the audience a contemporary story about romantic relationships, sex and power games with a remarkable cast, led by famous Youtuber Paola Locatelli, who stars in this new version alongside actors Simon Rérolle (Tristan) and Ella Pellegrini (Vanessa). If you like the reinvention of known stories, 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' is in tune with the contemporary atmosphere and accompanied by spectacular scenery.
