Why watch this film?
An animation that will remind many of the already classic (and more ingenious) films of 'Kung Fu Panda', for its martial arts story about an inept warrior who must become a master and face a great destiny. Aimed more at children, 'Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank' is vaguely inspired by Mel Brooks' comedy 'Blazing Saddles', and is about a hunting dog who must train as a samurai to defend a village of cats that wants to be wiped off the map by an implacable villain. The humor wildly oscillates between childish jokes and adult comedy, and the comparisons with the DreamWorks franchise don't help. However, it works as unpretentious family entertainment.
