A young woman's Airbnb reservation is double-booked, leading to a terrifying night with a stranger.

Why watch this film?

"Barbarian" begins as a story about a botched Airbnb reservation: a young woman (Georgina Campbell) has to travel to Detroit for work and discovers her accommodation was accidentally booked by another man (Bill Skarsgård), who is already occupying the house. Against her better judgement, she decides to stay the night, but soon discovers there are far worse things to fear. Best not to spoil what's to come. Suffice it to say it's the kind of movie with a certain B-movie sensibility and macabre sense of humor that keeps you guessing what comes next. It's best to start watching the movie without having seen any trailers, with as little knowledge of the story as possible.
