The Translators
Interesting French thriller with an air of Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None', 'Les traducteurs' has a curious premise: a group of translators is put under surveillance, in a kind of bunker, to translate one of the most anticipated novels of the Frankfurt Book Fair. However, the situation inside this bunker with a group of translators changes completely when part of the story leaks on the internet. Who stole the pages of the book? Who illegally published them? These are the questions that director Régis Roinsard (of the acclaimed 'The Typist') brings in the feature film, which has an unusual suspense and even an unexpected dive into the world of letters and translations. Highlight for the multinational cast full of stars, such as Lambert Wilson, Eduardo Noriega and Olga Kurylenko, further raising the overall quality of the feature film.

The Peasants
The Peasants is an animated film by the same directors of Loving Vincent, using the same innovative technique, which could be described as "oil-painted rotoscopy". Based on the Nobel Prize-winning novel The Peasants (1904) by Władysław Reymont, it's a tale of desire and revenge told in four episodes, one for each season of the year. The story, set in Poland at the turn of the 20th century, follows a young peasant woman who wreaks havoc by marrying an older, wealthy man, whose son also desires her, despite being married. It is a powerful and bleak, although conventional tale about violence and misogyny, somewhat overshadowed by its beautiful and prodigious visual execution.
