Why watch this film?
Fire of Love, the acclaimed film shown at the 46th São Paulo International Film Festival, tells the story of two volcanologists, Katia and Maurice Krafft, whose passion and life goals revolved around volcanoes. Developed mainly from photographs, films and exclusive recordings made by Katia and Maurice, this film by filmmaker Sara Dosa (of the beautiful The Seer and the Unseen) seeks the truth to tell a story that could have come from a love book written by Maurice for Katia and the volcanoes. The ending causes a kind of catharsis in the audience who, seeing it all, questions their life goals.
