Why watch this film?
Applauded for four minutes after its showing at the Cannes Film Festival, 'The Villainess' is from the same creators as 'Zombie Invasion'. With incredible scenes, great fight choreography, and first-class camera movement, the production is an example of what Asians (mostly Koreans) are achieving in action cinema. The story is about a young girl trained since childhood to be an assassin, in the classic style of 'Nikita: Criada para Matar' but with a touch of the 'Bourne' saga. Recommended for fans of the genre or Asian cinema.

Carter
A zombie pandemic sweeps the world, a man wakes up with no memory of his identity or past, and there's a bomb in his mouth. The only thing that will stop it from exploding is rescuing a girl who could have the answer to stopping the pandemic before North Korean or CIA agents get to her first. That's how the South Korean movie 'Carter' begins, an exclusive Netflix production. But the plot - which by itself already mixes elements from various genres - isn't what stands out here, but rather the execution, since 'Carter' is one of those action movies told in real-time and filmed in one take (or disguised cuts to look like it). The production directed by South Korean Jung Byung-gil ('A Village') aspires to the sophistication of Sam Mendes' Oscar-winning film '1917', although in reality it's more like the frenetic 'Hardcore: Mission Extreme'. The use of the one-take instead of being immersive makes the movie seem like a long scene from a video game. This combined with a plot that mixes so many genres and subplots results in a movie that trips on its own ambitions, although it can be fun if you're looking for an action movie with an unusual execution.
