Why watch this film?
If you enjoyed the other two Trolls movies, rest assured: this third chapter, titled Trolls Band Together, follows the same essence as the previous stories. It's still a fun, colorful, and upbeat film. Now, the story follows Poppy and Branch. As they get closer, Poppy discovers that Branch was part of her favorite boyband phenomenon, BroZone, with his four brothers. When one of them, Floyd, is kidnapped by villains, Branch and Poppy embark on a journey to rescue him. With lots of music and colors, the movie is the right choice for kids, especially the very young ones who care a lot about the glitter explosions on the screen.

Nevertheless, not being satisfied with the surprise that was 'Trolls', DreamWorks manages to surpass itself with 'Trolls World Tour', which despite repeating the successful formula of its predecessor (basically a musical constructed with popular hits), also proposes a story that expands the franchise's universe in ingenious ways. It's all a pretext for colorful reinterpretations of famous songs, but accompanied by a very entertaining visual show and an important message about celebrating our differences as groups and individuals.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
