Trailer

Why watch this film?

Power is an essay-film that reflects on the police and its control system that has remained largely unquestioned over the decades, analyzing the history and evolution of policing in the USA. Thus, filmmaker Yance Ford (from the excellent documentary Strong Island) asks incisive and uncomfortable questions about privilege and class, and even about collective responsibility in allowing those in power to escape accountability. A strong, uncomfortable, and above all, necessary documentary.
