Why watch this film?
Morgan Spurlock's impact on the fast food industry with his documentary 'Super Size Me' is well known: it made the industry giants rethink their business models to offer more moderate and (supposedly) healthy portions. But has there really been any change? More than a decade later, Spurlock returns to the topic with 'Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!', which brings a new look at other questionable practices of the food industry, with special focus on the power imbalance between big companies and chicken farms - and the inhumane practices of the latter group. Although it may not be as shocking as its predecessor, this documentary also reveals the truth about the supposed transformations of fast food.
Morgan Spurlock reignites his battle with the food industry - this time from behind the register - as he opens his own fast food restaurant.
