Why watch this film?
After surprising with the first 'A Quiet Place', filmmaker and actor John Krasinski (known for his character in 'The Office') returns to the apocalyptic universe he created. In 'A Quiet Place Part II' we follow the immediate aftermath of what we saw in the first chapter - although Krasinski digs up a space, right at the beginning of the movie, to participate in a breathtaking scene of the beginning of the attacks of the monsters that move by sound. Unfortunately, there is not the same strength and originality that we saw before. After all, the filmmaker does not find ways to surprise us as he did when presenting this devastated world, in silence. It remains to be seen if a continuation was really necessary. However, 'A Quiet Place Part II' has its merits. It is an honest and unpretentious entertainment, serving as a good escape. Time passes quickly as we watch and the movie reserves some good scares. The children are as annoying as ever and Emily Blunt is more faded than in the first movie. But in the end, the fun is certain, with the journey of this family trying to survive and escape from the creatures - and now, with Cillian Murphy also complementing the cast, with a good character.
