In the style of 'Solteras', this is a romantic comedy that once again tackles the topic of the battle of the sexes, this time from a male perspective. After being publicly humiliated on social media due to his #LordFriendZone status, Raul (Juan Ugarte) promises himself to become the best Casanova, under the name of "Sombra", and help others in this matter. It's an interesting first-time directorial choice for Giovanna Zacarías, who has stood out for her acting performances in films like 'Sonora' (which earned her an Ariel nomination in 2020), or as a director with her short film 'Ramona' (winner of the Ariel in 2014). This romantic comedy touches upon relevant topics such as gender roles, bullying, and social media, albeit too lightly. 'Escuela para seductores' is a comedy to have a good time without thinking much further.

A Brighter Tomorrow
Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti (winner of the Palme d'Or in 2001 for The Son's Room) returns with what has been called his 8½, for obvious reasons. A Brighter Tomorrow is the story of a filmmaker struggling to shoot a movie about the Hungarian Revolution, while trying to save his marriage to his producer wife. The film satirizes the current state of cinema, and perhaps indulges a bit too much in its nostalgia. It is far from the best that veteran Moretti has to offer, but if you've enjoyed his previous films, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one.
