"Last Summer" is a Turkish drama about adolescence and the love stories of this chaotic and turbulent period. A sensitive romance and a beautiful, contained, relatable and exciting story. The movie seems tailor-made for those who like dramas about maturity, and talks about the blossoming of love, first experiences and the awakening of adolescence to deal and relate with the world. A gem that will probably go unnoticed due to being an independent and international film, but which is undoubtedly a sure recommendation that is worth it. A beautiful and honest movie about the experience of adolescence, without romanticizations and exaggerations.

Using strong inspiration from the classic 'Before Sunrise' by Richard Linklater, the Turkish Netflix exclusive movie 'Yarina Tek Bilet' is one of those tear-jerking, heartwarming, and dreamy romances. Directed by Ozan Açiktan (of the acclaimed 'Annemin Yarasi') and written by Faruk Ozerten (of the mystery 'Silsile'), the feature film focuses on the story of two strangers who meet during a train journey between Ankara and Izmir. From there, 'Yarina Tek Bilet' plays with the possibilities of these meetings--and mismeetings, of course--and shows how relationships can arise "out of nowhere". It should be noted, however, that this is a movie like the aforementioned 'Before Sunrise', almost entirely based on the script with deep dialogue and some good conversations.

The plot of How to Date Billy Walsh is set in Britain, but follows the same formula as many other similar proposals from the United States: a guy, Archie, has been friends with Amelia since childhood, but secretly loves her. However, when he finally gathers the courage to confess, she falls for Billie Walsh, a handsome and athletic exchange student. The story is predictable and, except for a Netflix Sex Education-like layer of paint, there's not much new. However, it's a good contender for a Gen Z classic.
