God
This is a documentary about the deepest religious crisis Chile has ever experienced in its contemporary history, directed by several filmmakers from the Mapa Fílmico de un País (MAFI) collective, which defines itself as a Chilean non-profit entity dedicated to the development of documentaries that promote social reflection. This is exactly what 'Dios' proposes by portraying the turbulent climate in Chile on the eve of Pope Francis' visit in 2018, amidst accusations of pedophilia against Bishop Juan Barros, debates about abortion and inequality. It is a debate with a plurality of voices, about the gap between the ideology preached by the Catholic Church - the largest of the world's Christian churches - and the reality in which a large part of the world population lives.
Sci-Fi & Fantasy

The Five Devils
"Time-traveling through smell" is such a strange idea that it shouldn't work in a queer thriller about an impacting crime from the past that changes the life of a family. Yet, there's no other way to describe "The Five Devils," directed by Léa Mysius (screenwriter of "Paris, District 13"). Featuring phenomenal performances by Adèle Exarchopoulos ("Blue is the Warmest Color"), Swala Emati and little Sally Dramé, the movie tells the story of a woman (Exarchopoulos), her husband and daughter (Dramé), whose lives are changed by the reappearance of her sister-in-law (Emati), who has a past with her, and which the daughter starts discovering by traveling to the past. It's a strange (but powerful) story of magical realism that transcends genres - going from thriller to romance to fantasy - and which explores how our personal struggles can have irreparable effects on our affective bonds.

The Devil Conspiracy
This eerie fantasy in the style of 'End of Days' also reminds us a lot of 'Constantine', but with an enigmatic and intriguing idea reminiscent of Dan Brown's stories.
