Why watch this film?
An original Netflix documentary about the effects of Adderall, a medication used to treat narcolepsy in the lives of students and workers in general. These people do not need the medication, but they use it to get the performance they want. The movie brings an interesting overview of the drug's effects on the body and the way people use it without much idea of what they are taking.

White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch
Curiously documentary about one of the brands that was a craze and currently, isn't even remembered. In the peak of the 2010s, every teenager wanted a hoodie or any piece that had Abercrombie & Fitch written on it. Here in Brazil, the clothes were very expensive, so this fashion took on another proportion since it was necessary to have purchasing power to buy items here (or import). 'White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch' shows how desire and appeal make the world go round, no matter the sector. The idea of belonging combined with the models, who were white people considered standards with well-defined bodies, made the brand's success. The production also had a reflection on the lack of inclusion - which is seen in practically all labels. Diversity is important, but usually only at the tip of the iceberg, since this little reflects in the command structure of these companies, which seem untouchable to changes.

La Bonga
La bonga is an emotional Colombian documentary, selected for film festivals like Guanajuato (Mexico), Costa Rica, and San Francisco. The documentary portrays the return of hundreds of people to the title town, now swallowed by the jungle, after they had to abandon it decades earlier due to threats of violence from paramilitary groups. It is a powerful cinematic exercise on collective memory to heal trauma, reconcile with the passage of time, and rebuild abandoned lives to move forward with courage.

Life Is Not a Competition, But I'm Winning
Life is not a Competition, but I'm Winning is a sports documentary that challenges one of the most debated—and controversial—issues in professional sports in recent years: the rigidity of gender-based competitive divisions—male and female—with the resultant exclusion of transgender athletes. With a visual style that goes beyond typical sports documentaries, this production challenges these classifications while celebrating the triumphs of transgender women who have been denied the opportunity to compete and represent their disciplines—and even their nations—on the podium.

Skywalkers: A Love Story
Skywalkers: A Love Story is a documentary presented at the Sundance Festival 2024 that, from its theme and subjects, might already seem controversial: it follows a couple dedicated to rooftopping, the activity of clandestinely scaling skyscrapers and other tall structures, and documenting it. The documentary explores their trajectories, motivations, and romantic relationship, as they prepare for the most risky—and important—climb of their lives. Filled with spectacular and even terrifying images, with editing that keeps the viewer engaged, Skywalkers will fascinate the curious, even if, as such, its reflections on love never reach the same heights.
