Plot summary
Fifth-grader Andy finds himself without a present from Santa on Christmas morning. Realizing he must have landed on the “naughty list” and feeling unfairly maligned, Andy pulls together a team of eight other naughty-listers to help him execute an elaborate heist on Santa’s Village at the North Pole to get the presents they feel they deserve.

Imagine a mix between the comedy 'Perfect Strangers', the fantasy of 'Jumanji', and a big parable of 'Monopoly', with alcohol and mortal danger involved, and a modest budget execution. That can give you an idea of what to expect from 'A Game Between Friends' ('Gatlopp'), an indie comedy where four friends decide to get together for old times’ sake and get drunk playing a board game, except the game turns out to be more dangerous than they thought. Although the budget limitations are noticeable, the film is well-directed to take advantage of its handful of locations, modest special effects, and reduced cast (including Emmy Raver-Lampman of 'The Umbrella Academy'), so you'll enjoy it a lot if you want to watch something light without any major pretensions.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
Masha and the Bear: Twice the Fun
Masha leaves the forest in pursuit of an adventure in the city, where she encounters many unexpected situations and surprises while attending a wedding, and later seeks to do everything in her power to save Christmas.
