Liam (Daryl McCormack), a young writer, eagerly accepts a tutoring position at the family estate of his idol, the renowned author J.M. Sinclair (Richard E. Grant). However, Liam soon realizes that he is entangled in a web of family secrets, resentment, and retribution. With a deliberately slow pace that focuses more on the unspoken than the spoken, The Lesson impresses with its setting, immersing the viewer in an atmosphere full of tension and complexity.
