True crime documentaries on Netflix are so common that it's hard to highlight one that's truly worth it. Bitconned is a strong contender, thanks to its foundation in journalistic information and nimble editing that tells a story as infuriating as it is fascinating about the greed of three men who rode the wave of chaos and uncertainty in the cryptocurrency market to scam others and live the high life. It's the perfect blend of morbid curiosity and schadenfreude, exposing a system so rotten that, to some extent, one can applaud those who take advantage of it... until they fall under their own weight. It's the kind of film that will leave you as shocked and fascinated as disgusted.
