Trailer

Why watch this film?

Set in a very near future where AI is trendy, and technology has surpassed nature in almost every aspect of life, The Pod Generation follows Rachel (Emilia Clarke) and Alvy (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a couple ready to start a family. As an executive in a rising tech company, Rachel secures a spot at the Womb Center, offering couples the opportunity to share pregnancy equally through mobile, artificial, or capsule wombs. Alvy, a botanist and nature purist, has doubts, but his love for Rachel leads him to take a leap of faith. This is the story of The Pod Generation, a film tailor-made for fans of Black Mirror that makes anyone question the paths of technology – even though director and writer Sofia Barthes (known for the good Madame Bovary) doesn't go as hard-hitting as she could.
