Why watch this film?
After 31 years of the completion of the classic Star Wars trilogy, we return to that universe and reunite with characters that have marked some generations, all in a story that recycles several elements to guide a new path for the saga. Still, the strength of the movie lies in the new, such as the introduction of characters like Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren, or in the development of the political plot. This is certainly one of those movies that knows how to dose nostalgia, hope and fear in the right doses, becoming a great entertainment.

Plot summary
Visionary director J.J. Abrams brings to life the motion picture event of a generation. With spectacular special effects and breathtaking action, 'Beyond the Darkness' only skates on its excess of self-references and J.J. Abrams's famous "mystery box," which attempts to hide important plot elements just to create a surprise effect for the audience. Still, it's a great movie. Another positive point is that this reboot is not one of those that simply ignores what happened before, but uses the original timeline as a starting point for a new story. A great starting point for those who have never seen anything from 'Star Trek' before.
Mission: Impossible III
After a first nostalgic one and a second that got lost in the explosive action tone, 'Mission: Impossible III' is what starts to pave the paths of the franchise more firmly. Under the direction of J.J. Abrams, of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', the feature film starts with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) retired, enjoying married life with his wife (Michelle Monaghan). It is a production with tailored action, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats while also entertaining them with the thriller that arises from between the lines. And here, the cast ends up being the great highlight, taking 'Mission: Impossible' close to other action productions. In addition to Cruise and Monaghan, 'Mission: Impossible III' features the exceptional Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Billy Crudup, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Simon Pegg and Laurence Fishburne. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" brings a sense of closure to the main saga of the "Star Wars" franchise, with its nine movies, tying up the loose ends left by the two previous films and also paying homage to the entire legacy left by George Lucas. Credit goes to director and co-writer J.J. Abrams (also responsible for "The Force Awakens," the opening of this trilogy), who uses the eternal battle between light and dark side to build a story that clearly seeks to inspire those who watch it, to fight together for the greater good. Although this message may sound a bit cheesy to some, it will certainly make you feel better. In the cast, Carrie Fischer stands out, who died before the start of filming - which did not prevent previously recorded scenes from being used not only to honor the eternal Leia, but to put the general as an important part of the plot. For all this, it is certainly the conclusion that traditional fans wanted - although, on the other hand, it may not please that group that preferred the vision of director Rian Johnson in "The Last Jedi." At the end of the 2h21 duration of the film, there is that thought: what to do now, after more than 40 years, that the saga of the Skywalker family has come to an end? That's a difficult question to answer....

Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver
It was said about the first installment, and it can be said about Netflix's Rebel Moon (Part Two): it is a movie that only Zack Snyder fans will enjoy. The film continues to be a copy of the classic 'Seven Samurai', but in space: our heroes, led by Kora (Sofia Boutella), return to their small agricultural moon to prepare the defense against the invaders from the Empire. The story unfolds in a predictable manner (even more so if you've seen Kurosawa's classic), with Snyder's usual stylistic vices: overuse of slow motion and gratuitous Christian symbolism. If you liked the previous one (or the director's other movies), you will undoubtedly enjoy it. Otherwise, it might be better to skip it.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
The MonsterVerse has successfully brought to the screen the battles of the two most iconic giant monsters in cinema, King Kong and Godzilla, the latter in its American reinterpretation. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is a new chapter in the franchise, although, truth be told, it doesn't bring much new. The duo are now allies in a fight for the fate not only of the Earth's surface but also of the world of the "hollow earth," where the titans come from. Don't expect here the deep anti-war allegory of Godzilla Minus One, the far superior Japanese film released just a few months prior. Here it's about seeing giant monsters smack each other in the face, like an hour of wrestlers aboard monster trucks. If that's what you're looking for, it's the movie for you. If you prefer some more humanity in your films, it's better to pass.
Code 8: Part II
Code 8 was an unexpectedly successful film, putting Robbie (from the series Upload) and Stephen Amell (Arrow) back on the map and captivating audiences with a compelling science fiction story. Now, the saga returns with an intense plot: after witnessing her brother's murder and the subsequent cover-up, a teenage girl with abnormal abilities seeks the help of an ex-convict (Robbie Amell) and his former crime partner (Stephen Amell). Together, they confront a unit of corrupt police officers who use advanced robotic technology to avoid being exposed. A clever and entertaining sequel.
