55 Steps
German production recorded in English and focused on the US market, ’55 Steps’ features a powerhouse duo as its protagonists: Helena Bonham Carter (‘The King’s Speech’) and Hilary Swank (Oscar-winning for ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ and ‘Million Dollar Baby’). The story is based on true events, about a woman's fight for patient rights to know which psychotropic drugs are being administered – and to reject them if necessary. An intense film, one of those to make us think.

The Pact
Karen Christence, Baroness of Blixen-Finecke and better known by her pen name Isak Dinesen, was a Danish writer and this movie portrays part of her life. 'Pagten' is an ideal production for those who enjoy literature and also for those who like a good story. If you are unfamiliar with who Karen Blixen was, you will love embarking on her journey, which also serves as a tribute to her career - that the greatest commitment was to tell stories. The film is very well constructed in terms of technical terms, great photography, editing and soundtrack, all very delicate, creating an atmosphere that brings us closer to the protagonist.
Drama

My Fault
An adaptation of the first installment of the successful literary trilogy Culpables, which author Mercedes Ron initially released on the popular Wattpad platform. My Fault follows the tumultuous forbidden relationship between Noah and his stepbrother, Nick. Like many other similar productions aimed at young audiences, this movie features unbelievable situations, tonal shifts, and dialogue as stiff as it is saccharine. Certainly beloved by fans of the original book, but perhaps best avoided by those looking for a more serious drama.

Flamin' Hot
This movie, debuting as director from actress Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), tells one of the most well-known stories of Latinos reaching the "American Dream": Richard Montañez, inventor of the world-famous Flamin' Hot Cheetos. As a biopic, Flamin' Hot is like the titular snack: it may have a lot of calories and little nutritional value, but it's certainly interesting and fun as a story. On the other hand, fans of success stories in business and marketing brought to the screen (like Air: The Story Behind the Logo) will definitely find something they'll like here.
