A Japanese animated film, the fifth installment in a franchise of movies and series that takes place in the same continuity as the famous horror video games. 'Resident Evil: Death Island' continues after the events of 'Resident Evil: Vendetta,' bringing together several classic franchise characters such as Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, the Redfield siblings, and Rebecca Chambers, who investigate an outbreak of the T-virus on Alcatraz Island. The animation makes the movie feel like a scene from the video games that extends for an hour and a half, which will be perfect for long-time fans or those looking for a less fantastical adaptation than the films with Milla Jovovich. If you're looking for a traditional zombie movie, this may not be for you.

Plot summary
In San Francisco, Jill Valentine is dealing with a zombie outbreak and a new t-virus, Leon Kennedy is on the trail of a kidnapped DARPA scientist and Claire Redfield is investigating a monstrous fish that is killing whales in the bay. Joined by Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers, they discover the trail of clues from their separate cases all converge on the same location, Alcatraz Island, where a new evil has taken residence and awaits their arrival.

Another day, another time loop movie in the style of Groundhog Day. Although a more appropriate comparison would be the slasher Happy Death Day. Directed by the Japanese filmmaker Eiichirô Hasumi (known for Assassination Classroom and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness), this Netflix exclusive tells the story of six students trapped in a time loop, where they are doomed to die brutally over and over again until they find the remains of an unknown victim. The premise adds freshness to what would otherwise be a run-of-the-mill horror movie. It's not as good as Happy Death Day or its sequel, but you'll enjoy it if you like gore.

The Fall Guy
The Fall Guy is one of those films that seem designed to have it all and thus please the broadest audience possible. Based on the 1980s series of the same name and directed by David Leitch (former stunt double and now director of films like Bullet Train and Deadpool 2), the movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a down-on-his-luck stunt double who must investigate the mysterious disappearance of actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), as this would ruin the first movie of his beloved, filmmaker Jody (Emily Blunt). And the major problem with this movie is that it tries to be everything: romantic comedy, action comedy, Hollywood satire, crime mystery, and more, hampered by the magnitude of its own ambitions, as well as an overloaded and unclear script. You can enjoy it as an insight into the world behind action cinema, and for the charisma of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
