The film One Shot surprised in 2021 by featuring Scott Adkins in an uncut plot – the entire action unfolds in a single take, providing a more intriguing sense of urgency to the movie. Among Adkins' starring roles, it might be the best. Hence, it's no surprise that it has a sequel: One More Shot. Jake Harris (Adkins) transporting a terrorism suspect after an attack in Poland. Although it lacks the freshness of the first installment, One More Shot brings back solid, uncut action scenes with a story that keeps us, at times, on the edge of our seats.

Plot summary

With renowned stuntman and action star Scott Adkins, 'Eliminators' is a film whose plot resembles a bit 'Crash', by David Cronenberg, for telling the story of a man who involuntarily becomes a media sensation, which ends up putting him and his family in the sights of dangerous people. Although it is not remotely as narrative and as substantial - quite the contrary - the plot is enough to keep things interesting and provide Adkins and his WWE co-star, wrestler Wade Barrett, a good pretext for the display of considerable athletic skills. Suitable for action fans with few complications.

The Fall Guy is one of those films that seem designed to have it all and thus please the broadest audience possible. Based on the 1980s series of the same name and directed by David Leitch (former stunt double and now director of films like Bullet Train and Deadpool 2), the movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a down-on-his-luck stunt double who must investigate the mysterious disappearance of actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), as this would ruin the first movie of his beloved, filmmaker Jody (Emily Blunt). And the major problem with this movie is that it tries to be everything: romantic comedy, action comedy, Hollywood satire, crime mystery, and more, hampered by the magnitude of its own ambitions, as well as an overloaded and unclear script. You can enjoy it as an insight into the world behind action cinema, and for the charisma of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
