Trailer
Why watch this film?
The best of the films from the second Star Wars trilogy, concluding Anakin Skywalker's journey to find the Dark Side of the Force. The script doesn't hold up to closer scrutiny, but it's still a good movie. For those not too thrilled with the series' "space opera" theme, pay attention to the important political subplot.

THX 1138
Years before Star Wars, George Lucas wrote and directed this movie, which is a milestone in science fiction cinema and shows a dystopian future to provoke and critique the present - a critique that remains current. Highlights include the minimalist design sets, which would also inspire the space saga.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
After 16 years since the premiere of 'Return of the Jedi', George Lucas returned to the Star Wars universe with the story of the boy who would later become Darth Vader. The problem is that, even with all the technology at his disposal, the director slipped into a weak script, some new characters without charisma and in an attempt to explain elements that were seen as mystical in the original trilogy. Perhaps the greatest merit is, even, to bring a new political subplot to the saga, which had only been tangentially addressed in the previous films. Watch if you're a real fan.

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
The second movie of the second Star Wars trilogy - and the second movie chronologically - 'Attack of the Clones' presents several advances compared to the previous movie, but still falls short of the 1970s and 1980s trilogy. On the other hand, for those who enjoy action and breathtaking sequences, the movie does not skimp on this aspect. For fans of the saga, of course, the importance is something else: it is here that Anakin Skywalker's errors begin, which will lead the Jedi to the Dark Side of the Force.

Star Wars: A New Hope
This is one of the greatest movie classics of all time, a film responsible for permanently shaping the term "blockbuster" and launching a multimillion dollar franchise. Forty years after its release, we can still watch the feature film with new perceptions - from the practical effects of the time, to John Williams' iconic soundtrack, the philosophical debates that mythology brings us, or just the innocent look of hope that George Lucas brings in this first story.

Star Wars: Six Movie Collection
This is, without a doubt, the biggest movie saga in the world, that changed a lot in the industry and in Hollywood. A true lesson - with its mistakes and successes - for those who want to turn a movie into something bigger. In this collection are the six features of both trilogies led by George Lucas, all to keep forever - and at a lower cost than purchasing each movie individually. Another advantage is that all productions come with several exclusive extras in the iTunes version.

![The Animal Kingdom](https://media.filmelier.com/tit/VLYLAf/thumb/the-animal-kingdom_PMbYeLU.jpeg)
The Animal Kingdom
The Animal Kingdom is an ambitious French film that blends magical realism with our recent pandemic traumas to propose an intriguing story about intolerance and otherness. The story is set in France, in a world where an unexplained wave of mutations is turning humans into animals. To care for his mutated mother, a boy (Paul Kircher) moves with his father (Romain Duris) to a village in a wooded region of France, but as he begins to adjust to his new life, he starts turning into an animal himself. The film presents rich dichotomies (the natural world vs. civilization, normativity vs. divergence, repression vs. freedom) and features well-crafted visual effects that suggest perhaps it is those who hate, oppress, and try to control nature who are the most beastly and irrational.

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes is the fourth installment of the saga in its original continuity. Set in the (then) near future of the 1990s, the film portrays a society in which apes have been enslaved by humanity, until one more evolved than the rest instigates a revolution that represents the fall of the human race. In addition to closing the line of events leading to the story of the original, this film also shares several narrative elements with what would be its reboot: here we meet Caesar, played by Roddy McDowall, and later by Andy Serkis in the new movies.

Ultraman: Rising
Ultraman: Rising is a charming Netflix animation that puts the traditional Japanese character in the perspective of children. In the story, Ken Sato, a baseball superstar, returns to Japan to become the newest hero to take on the mantle of Ultraman. His plans go awry, however, when he is forced to raise a newborn kaiju monster, the offspring of his greatest enemy, as his own child. Sato will also have to deal with his relationship with his estranged father and the schemes of the Kaiju Defense Force. A film for the little ones, but one that also finds space to awaken the child within each of us.
