No Gogó Do Paulinho
Interpreted and conceived by Maurício Manfrini, the character Paulinho Gogó became a sensation over time. From the radio, he went to television, consolidating himself as one of the most beloved figures of the comedy show A Praça é Nossa, from SBT. Now, finally, Paulinho Gogó has a movie of his own with 'No Gogó do Paulinho'. Directed by the duo Roberto Santucci and Paulo Cursino ('Até que a Sorte nos Separe', 'O Candidato Honesto'), the feature film has the arduous task of making the humor last throughout the entire duration of the film, while we are more used to seeing Gogó with quick lines with Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega. This "change of scenery" is felt in the movie, which ends up having less vitality as it drags along with some lines. However, the references to 'Forrest Gump', some good special appearances and one or two inspired moments help to alleviate the lack of rhythm of 'No Gogó do Paulinho'. There are still some exaggerations, typical of Santucci's cinema, which do not convince anyone. But the important thing is that deep down, very deep down, the essence of the character remains alive.

Just Another Christmas
"The first partnership between Leandro Hassum and Netflix, 'Everything's Alright for Christmas That Comes' is the typical movie of the Brazilian actor and comedian - especially in this batch of productions with Hassum and commanded by Roberto Santucci ('The Honest Candidate', 'Until Luck Separates Us', etc'). There are many absurd situations, some mismatched jokes and a lack of sensitivity in the dosage between comedy and drama, as recently happened with the remake 'No Returns Accepted'. However, the Christmas atmosphere and the plot clearly inspired by 'Spell of Time' and 'Click' bring a nice feeling of comfort. In addition, some improvisations and last-minute ideas from Leandro Hassum, such as a story involving the Christmas turkey, are hilarious. To have fun and pass the time on Christmas."

Head Over Heels
A rarely portrayed and remembered universe in cinemas, sex shops are the soul of this national comedy, starring Ingrid Guimarães. Here, the actress plays an executive who enters the world of "sex toys" after being fired and seeing her marriage come to an end. In addition to the good humor of the situations, the movie succeeds in demystifying a bit this particular and peculiar sector, usually full of taboos. In addition to Guimarães, good highlight for the humor of Maria Paula, who plays the protagonist's partner.

Head Over Heels 2
The sequel to the successful national comedy about a woman who, after losing her husband and job, takes a risk by opening an erotic toy brand. In this film, director Roberto Santucci ("Until Luck Do Us Part") uses and abuses everything that worked in the first film to the point of exhaustion, almost without any breath of originality that we saw in the previous feature film. Fortunately, the protagonist Ingrid Guimarães continues sharp with her jokes and absurd situations, giving life and vigor to the film that, if it depended on the script and direction, would be just an anemic copy of the national comedy.

Quatro Amigas Numa Fria
If you liked any movie from the duo formed by director Roberto Santucci and screenwriter Paulo Cursino, such as 'Os Farofeiros' and 'Até que a Sorte nos Separe', the comedy feature film 'Quatro Amigas Numa Fria' was made for you. With outrageous comedy, the movie talks about four friends who travel to Bariloche, in the cold of Argentina. Each one, however, with a profile - one is extremely naive, another wants to get rid of husband and child to rest a bit, another is in search of adventures and another is in another vibe, about to get married. In this unexpected mix, with good performances by Fernanda Paes Leme, Maria Flor, Priscila Assum and Micheli Machado, we have a typical Brazilian comedy, with stereotypes levering the plot. There are problems in the way this is treated, but, ignoring that, it is possible to find good jokes and, above all, to identify with this situation of friends who meet in the differences.

Fenced In
In this Brazilian comedy starring Leandro Hassum, a man moves from the city to the countryside in search of peace and ends up being disappointed when he meets his new neighbors. Hassum is great in the character of the protagonist and delivers good laughs. 'Fenced In' is yet another national production with the Netflix seal that delivers great entertainment. Despite using some already known formulas in the genre, the movie manages to stand out and have a look of a production made for the Brazilian audience.

Outsider Girls
Outsider Girls (original Spanish title: Las demás) is the feature film debut of Chilean filmmaker Alexandra Hyland as both director and screenwriter, and its art direction, music, editing, and staging, as well as its context and themes, embody a spirit that can only be described as "punk." The plot follows two best friends from university, whose lives are turned upside down when one of them becomes pregnant. Together, they embark on a quest to obtain an abortion in a country where it is still illegal. This is a great comedy that, in a carefree tone, without prejudice but also without concessions, highlights the hypocrisies of social, cultural, and political life in Chile, echoing experiences in other regions of Latin America.
![Problemista](https://media.filmelier.com/tit/mc4yPG/thumb/problemista_fqYJkEg.jpeg)
Problemista
Directed, written, and starred by Salvadoran comedian Julio Torres (Los Espookys), Problemista is a comedy that presents an absurd premise and doesn't worry about its credibility, and instead embraces its ridiculousness and runs with it. Set in an unspecified time in New York, Álex (Torres) aspires to be a toy inventor at Hasbro, with ideas as absurd as Barbies with crossed fingers or Cabbage Patch dolls with cellphones. To make ends meet, he works at a cryogenization clinic that freezes patients to wake up in the future (although there's no certainty that such technology will exist). When he is fired, he takes a job as an assistant to the neurotic Elizabeth (Tilda Swinton at her finest), who harbors the unreal idea of curating an exhibition of her artist husband's paintings, one of the frozen patients. With a production design that indulges in camp (closer to Roger Waters than to Pedro Almodóvar), using cheap costumes and ridiculous digital special effects, Torres builds a surreal and amusing atmosphere that satirizes the twisted difficulties of living in the United States (especially for Latin immigrants), the banal and stupid egocentrism of the cultural elites, and the absurdity of corporatism. Its eccentricity may repel some, but if you approach it on these terms, you'll leave the cinema having seen something truly unique.
